“Bloemen” is the Dutch word for flowers, which reflects Ingrid Sarrat's Dutch heritage.
She received her training in floral Design from the Filoli estate and garden center in Woodside, CA. where she also worked for a number of years. She also worked for a florist in Los Altos, CA. for about 4 years, where she created all kinds of floral designs from individual arrangements to funeral pieces to wedding bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, centerpieces, altar arrangements, etc.
Ingrid and her husband moved to Santa Barbara eight years ago. Shortly after arriving, Ingrid established Bloemen Floral Design as a freelance, totally customized special events floral business. Her philosophy involves working together as a team with her customers to bring about a result that combines beauty and elegance, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
